About us

The Cultural Center of Harghita County is a specialized institution of Harghita County Council. The institution is a scientific and methodological center of the cultural activities in Harghita county. Its task is to support, to promote and to organize the cultural activities in the spirit of authenticity, tolerance and European mentality.

Consultation and information in the field of general education, establishment and protection of internal and external relationships

Activities

Digitalization of culture - cultural data base

Searching for habits, local traditions, spiritual-cultural values and objectives from Harghita county, archiving them and transforming them into public property, presenting in digital format and on Internet

Specialized cultural programmes

Scientific seminars and examinations, organization of consulting
Organization and supporting of county, regional, national and international festivals and tradition preserving programmes
Organization of joint exhibitions and camps in cooperation with internal and external institutions

Training for leaders and cultural institutions

Training and further education for animators and for those who are working in the field of culture
Vocational training for amateurs
Making the specialist library available to the public and its improving

Publications

-edition and support of photo albums and specialized publications
-edition of the institutional information publication - Cultural Observer - quarterly
-elaboration and spreading of cultural events calendar and its presentations on Internet
